Jennifer is a Paralegal in our English Real Estate team with experience in assisting on a wide range of real estate matters including commercial leases (acting on behalf of the landlord and the tenant), shorthold residential tenancies, car parking licences, rent review memoranda, settlement agreements, wayleaves and more. Jennifer also provides cross-divisional support to Dispute Resolution team in relation to service of schedules of dilapidations, break notices etc. Jennifer therefore has a breadth of knowledge of different types of real estate transactions.
Jennifer’s skills include knowledge of HMLR and SDLT processes, data room management, property searches, and is also involved in training colleagues on these processes. Jennifer creates templates, trackers and sets up processes to reduce costs and maximise efficiency. Jennifer is a knowledgeable user of Litera Compare, Orbital Witness, 3E, iManage, DocuSign, InfoTrack, HMLR portal and other legal software resources.
Jennifer’s legal and professional qualifications include University of Warwick degree, Legal Secretarial certificates (ILEX), and both Specialist Paralegal in Commercial Conveyancing (Scotland) and Specialist Paralegal in Commercial Property (England & Wales) (CLT).
Jennifer has almost three years’ legal practice experience in the English Real Estate sector. Prior to becoming a Paralegal in August 2021, Jennifer was a Legal PA at Burness Paull for seven years and so has extensive PA and administrative experience. Jennifer’s overall work experience at Burness Paull has gained her a unique background spanning English Property, Scottish Property and Scottish Planning sectors.
