Emma is a director in our Public and Third Sector Team.

Emma regularly provides advice to a range of public sector clients including a large number of local authorities, as well as housing associations, enterprise agencies and government bodies. Emma has extensive experience of advising on public sector offshoot projects. She also provides advice on a range of commercial contracts, grant arrangements, public procurement and state aid matters.

Third sector clients typically engage Emma to provide advice relating to legal structures within the sector, including formation and structure of SCIOs, community interest companies and companies with charitable status, corporate governance arrangements and the structuring of group arrangements within the sector. Emma regularly provides training to clients on a whole host of legal issues including director/ charity trustee duties.

She is also part of our firm’s renewables group and is regularly involved with the firm’s wider renewables team in providing advice focussed on community renewables projects.
